Nā Kūpuna Makamae Senior Center (a project of Pacific Gateway Center) provides innovative, quality services and programs dedicated to our seniors, their families, and community that will empower, educate, enlighten, and entertain. These programs address the critical needs of seniors and their caregivers and improve the quality of life for all.
Driven and led by kūpuna for kūpuna, Nā Kūpuna Makamae will be at the forefront of caring for and enabling Hawai'i's seniors.
A Project of Pacific Gateway Center

After decades spent closed and dusty, the historic stone Kakaako pumping station on Ala Moana Boulevard has new role as a community center run by the the Pacific Gateway Center. State Senate president Donna Mercado Kim praised supporters of the project for finding a purpose for the structure. “We are giving it a second life. This center will be a place of learning, bringing senior citizens and youth together, Kim said.
