Taught by Stacie Segovia. Join Ms. Stacie as she guides you through this traditional Hawaiian weaving art. Instruction begins with making a lauhala bracelet as an introduction, and how to prepare your lauhala for weaving. As you progress with this weekly workshop, you will also learn how to make bottle covers, place mats, piko purses and even a papale (lauhala hat)!
Lauhala Weaving class is open to all, including visitors, kama’aina and community.
Class fees: $5 + additional material costs
(Beginner’s bracelet is included in the $5 class fee. Additional projects are an added cost for materials)
